Description
The name of this playful 1972 design by Achille Castiglioni literally translates to "bulb," and it's easy to see why. This distinctive table lamp features a clear globe that is partly sandblasted to provide both direct and diffused light. The base, made of anodized aluminum, cleverly houses the excess power cord, while an on/off switch is conveniently located on the lamp holder. Achille Castiglioni was known for his ability to offer fresh perspectives on everyday objects. With this design, he takes a "meta" approach, reimagining the concept of light by creatively playing with the form of a light bulb.
