Part of ALUCUTS BATCH 1, the Lille Split Chair is a prime example of Copenhagen-based designer Thomas Gayet's minimalist aluminum furniture series. Gayet's design philosophy shines through the collection's use of 12mm squared aluminum cuts, meticulously assembled with bolted connections to achieve the final product. Simplicity takes center stage in the manufacturing process, allowing the furniture's shape to organically emerge as the aluminum segments are arranged empirically. Sporting a raw, industrial aesthetic, the series boasts a rugged finish, with sharp cut edges juxtaposed against brushed aluminum surfaces. Accentuating this contrast are countersunk Allen bolts, serving both functionally and aesthetically, while also emphasizing the minimalist construction approach.
