Designer Gabriel Tan's aim was to craft an armchair that seamlessly merges functionality and collectibility, making it capable of standing out when placed individually in a central space or being utilized around a dining table for everyday seating needs. Drawing inspiration from the crescent-shaped ("Meia Lua" means "Half Moon" in Portuguese) three-legged chairs from the late 1950s, this chair incorporates novel and distinctive elements, such as its paper cord-braided armrests, offering a delightful tactile experience against one's skin. This chair is a collaborative effort between woodworker Carlos Barbosa and weaver Maria Adelina Ferreira, produced in the northern region of Portugal.
